More Christmas

Russell got a gun belt/holster from Uncle Heath & Chela.
Brett & Sydney tearing into gifts at Gram & Gramp's house.

Our Christmas at home
Sydney was so into cleaning with all my cleaning tools that I bought her own for her to use and she's yet to use them. She wants mommy's. ha!
Russell loves the Geotrax trains
Their gift from Santa was an art table where they both have their own chair and desk. They are really into crafts and art and such.
Every year, an elf drops off an early gift for them to open on Christmas Eve and lo and behold it's always Christmas pj's.
This year it worked perfectly cause we had "The Elf on the Shelf" which is an elf that sits around your house and watches to see if you're being naughty or nice and each night he goes back and reports to Santa and each morning he's in a new place. But you can't touch him, you can talk to him but he's not allowed to talk back to you. Worked like a charm. I brought him out right after Thanksgiving and when the kids started acting up I'd remind them about the elf. They always enjoyed looking for him each morning and the funny thing is I caught both of them talking to him on different occassions and believe it or not they never touched him. So he had to leave on Christmas Eve and he left behind gifts. And he'll be back for next Christmas.

Christmas

We had Christmas with my mom's side of the family at Mandy and Shaun's house.
Pregnant Mandy and my dad pretending to be pregnant. ha!
Who are those scary people? My mom and her brother decided to put stockings on their heads that they had received gifts in. The kids were scared!

Russell's 5th Birthday

Ok, so I'm a little behind on blogging. Russell turned 5 on Dec. 16th (sniff sniff). He had a sports theme birthday party at home.

Thanks to Gram and Aunt Mandy for the yummy baseball cookies!

Russell and his friends
One of his favorite toys.
Which, he did great at opening gifts this year. I was a little worried ya know with what a 5 yr. old might say if they didn't like a particular gift so Blake had a talk with him beforehand. So it was funny every gift he opened, he cheered and said "Awesome!" and thanked each person.

My lil man won the "scariest" hat award at Hat day in Preschool. ha! I tried to get him to wear an actual hat but he insisted on this ski mask/hunting mask.

Such blessings

Just wanted to brag on my family. I have been sick since yesterday, not sure if it's food poisoning or flu, but my family has been such great helpers. They have cuddled with me and let me watch what I want on TV. haha...instead of cartoons/football. They have brought me drinks. The cutest part was last night I was taking a hot bath and Sydney to make me feel better decided to bring all her dress up clothes in and put on a dance show for me. After every outfit she bowed and I said Bravo! I'm truly blessed!
